Recap: Hoehne Farmers vs. Crowley County Chargers
The Hoehne Farmers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 66-36 loss at the hands of Crowley County. While losing is never fun, Hoehne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while Crowley County is ranked 35th).
Hoehne lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bobby Terry, who scored eight points along with two steals. Maurice Bachicha was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Hoehne has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Crowley County, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Hoehne will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Swallows Charter Academy at 4:30 p.m. Crowley County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Holly at 2:00 p.m. on January 20th. Holly is on a six-game streak of home wins, Crowley County a 16-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
