Softball Game Preview: Dumont Huskies vs. Park Ridge Owls

The Dumont Huskies will take on the Park Ridge Owls at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Dumont managed to slip by Ridgefield Park the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Huskies came up short against the Scarlets on Wednesday, falling 8-1. The contest marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Park Ridge fell victim to Emerson and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cavaliers.

Park Ridge's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Dumont, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3.
