Basketball Recap: Grand Lake Comes Up Short

Grand Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Church Point Bears 62-30. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 279th, while the Bears are ranked 100th).

Grand Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 14-16-1. As for Church Point, they pushed their record up to 21-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grand Lake won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Starks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Church Point, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Episcopal of Acadiana at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
