Baseball Recap: Clinton Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Clinton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Ridgeland Titans on Friday, sneaking past 4-2. The win continues a trend for the Arrows in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won three in a row.

Brody Zumbro looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chad Bates, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Clinton now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ridgeland, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton will welcome Senatobia at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ridgeland, they will face off against Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on February 28th.
