Baseball Recap: Kalamazoo Central Find Success

Kalamazoo Central posted their closest win since May 7th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Portage Central Mustangs. The Maroon Giants haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Eliot Goerge was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. He has become a key player for Kalamazoo Central: the team is 10-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 11-13 otherwise.

Kalamazoo Central's record now sits at 21-14. As for Portage Central, they dropped their record down to 7-15 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
