Softball Game Preview: Ocoee Knights vs. Olympia Titans

The Ocoee Knights and the Olympia Titans, after both having extra time off, will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Olympia is facing Ocoee at the wrong time: Ocoee suffered their first home loss of the season last Thursday and they're likely out for redemption. They came up short against the Royals, falling 13-5.

Camilla Delgado made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Espinoza, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Olympia suffered their biggest defeat since February 18th last Wednesday. They lost 17-1 to Lake Brantley.

Olympia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Church, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Ocoee's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Olympia, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ocoee hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .359. However, it's not like Olympia struggles in that department as they've averaged .346. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Ocoee skirted past Olympia 6-4 when the teams last played on March 3rd. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
