Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Bavly Morgan and Carmine Amaya Lead Citrus Valley to Victory

There's no place like home for Citrus Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 56-43 win over the Redlands Terriers on Tuesday. This was payback for the Blackhawks, who suffered a 64-58 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Leading Citrus Valley to victory were Carmine Amaya and Bavly Morgan. Amaya went 6 of 11 on his way to 19 points in addition to seven boards and three steals, while Morgan went 5 for 7 on his way to 11 points and five assists. That's the most assists Morgan has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Todd, who posted eight points.

Redlands lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Charlie Schadwinkel, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Sean Wimberly, who put up 11 points.

Citrus Valley's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8. As for Redlands, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Citrus Valley will venture away from home to take on Beaumont at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Citrus Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season. As for Redlands, they will host Cajon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
