Softball Preview: Roncalli Jets vs. Chilton Tigers
Roncalli is 0-10 against Chilton since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Roncalli Jets will head out on the road to face off against the Chilton Tigers at 4:30 p.m.
After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Roncalli was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell victim to a tough 10-0 defeat at the hands of New Holstein.
Meanwhile, Chilton earned a 12-8 win over Brillion on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chilton.
Maddie Mueller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned run off three hits (she also only allowed one walk). Mueller was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Delaney Byng and Eliana Bates did most of the damage at the plate: Byng scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Bates scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
