Volleyball Recap: Oak Hill Red Devils vs. Wyoming East Warriors
After flying high against Summers County last Thursday, Oak Hill came back down to earth. The Oak Hill Red Devils took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wyoming East Warriors on Tuesday. The Red Devils haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Oak Hill started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-18, 25-18, 25-21.
Wyoming East can attribute much of their success to Lauren Staton, who had two aces and 26 assists.
Oak Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Wyoming East, they pushed their record up to 17-4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Oak Hill will head out to challenge Montcalm at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wyoming East, they are on the road again on Thursday to play Charleston Catholic.
