Pitman has gone a perfect 10-0 against Clayton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Pitman will square off against Clayton at 4:00 p.m.

On Friday, Pitman didn't have quite enough to beat Vineland and fell 4-3.

Meanwhile, Clayton got the win against Atlantic Christian on Thursday by a conclusive 9-1.

Mark Manera made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over 5.1 innings pitched. Manera was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaiden Keller, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Jameson Emerle was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

The win got Clayton back to even at 1-1. As for Pitman, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Pitman's way against Clayton in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Pitman made off with a 7-0 victory. Does Pitman have another victory up their sleeve, or will Clayton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
