Sinton came tearing into Tuesday's contest with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Cuero Gobblers get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gobblers, too.

Dylan Arriaga was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Arriaga wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Clay Mitchell, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another was Kash Wood, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Sinton pushed their record up to 15-5-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cuero, they moved to 7-9 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Sinton will take on Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cuero, they will venture away from home to take on San Antonio Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Minutemen have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.38 runs per game on average), something the Gobblers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
