Soccer Recap: Yucaipa Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Yucaipa can now relate to. They fell just short of the Pacific Ridge Firebirds by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Firebirds are ranked 18th).

Yucaipa's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Pacific Ridge, they pushed their record up to 22-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

Yucaipa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pacific Ridge, they will challenge Central at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Central will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Pacific Ridge surely won't give up without a fight.
