Football Recap: Lehman Catholic Starts Season with Victory Against St. John's

Lehman Catholic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the St. John's Bluejays 56-35. This was payback for the Cavaliers, who suffered a 54-27 loss the last time these two teams met.

Lehman Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Turner Lachey, who threw for 501 yards and eight touchdowns while completing 81.5% of his passes. Those 501 passing yards gave Lachey a new career-high. Cj Olding was Lachey's top target, picking up 256 receiving yards and four TDs.

Coming up, Lehman Catholic will host Southeastern Local at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. John's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
