Basketball Recap: Greene Central Rams vs. Washington Pam Pack
Greene Central lost against Washington back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Greene Central Rams took a 68-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Washington Pam Pack. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pam Pack 14-8 in the first quarter.
Greene Central's loss came despite strong showings from Nick Avent and Dontrez Evans. Avent went 6 for 9 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds, while Evans went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds. Avent continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalin Sutton, who posted seven points.
Washington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chaise Smith, who put up 20 points in addition to seven assists and five boards.
