Volleyball Recap: Mt. Vernon Comes Up Short at Home Against Mid-Prairie

Mt. Vernon unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

The win was the third in a row for Mid-Prairie, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Mt. Vernon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Bondurant-Farrar on the 28th. As for Mid-Prairie, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Central Lee on the 30th.
