Soccer Game Preview: Woodridge vs. West Branch

The Woodridge Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the West Branch Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Woodridge's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Manchester. The win was nothing new for Woodridge as they're now sitting on three straight.

Emma Woods and Emma Hovey scored both of Woodridge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Meanwhile, West Branch beat Dover 4-2 last Wednesday. Given West Branch's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Dover are ranked 224th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Woodridge's record is now 9-7-1. As for West Branch, their record now sits at 14-0-2.

Woodridge might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from West Branch when the teams last played back in September of 2018. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
