Statesboro's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alyssa Staten led the charge by dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. Staten is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games she's played. Reya Johnson was another key contributor, dropping a triple-double on 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists.
Statesboro's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25 points. As for Jenkins, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
