Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, the Mingo Central Miners couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 28-21 to Philip Barbour on Friday.

Despite the loss, Mingo Central still got an impressive performance from Dylan Vance, who rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 38 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Ross, who threw for 170 yards and two touchdowns.

Mingo Central's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Philip Barbour, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Mingo Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Philip Barbour will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Fairmont Senior at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th.
