NCSSM: Morganton had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their defense stepped up to hand the Piedmont Classical Bobcats a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering NCSSM: Morganton have won eight contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

NCSSM: Morganton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those eight games. As for Piedmont Classical, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
