Basketball Recap: Battiest Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

On Thursday, the Battiest Panthers strolled past the Talihina Golden Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 59-42.

Talihina lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cy Ammons, who went 5 of 11 en route to 14 points. Another player making a difference was Landen Griffith, who posted eight points and five boards.

Battiest's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Talihina, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3.

Battiest will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Soper at 8:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Talihina, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Stigler at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
