Basketball Game Preview: Hough Huskies vs. Hopewell Titans

Two dominant guards in Chloe Galombeck and MOLLY HOWE are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Hough Huskies will take on the Hopewell Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hough will be strutting in after a victory while Hopewell will be coming in after a loss.

Hough is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Harding University: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Hough blew Harding University out of the water with a 70-22 final score. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Hopewell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against North Mecklenburg, falling 94-19. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-16.

Hough is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Hopewell, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Everything came up roses for Hough against Hopewell in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 60-7 win. In that game, Hough amassed a halftime lead of 37-2, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
