Basketball Recap: Jatoine Draughon's Big Game Can't Quite Lead East Stroudsburg North over Pleasant Valley

East Stroudsburg North lost against Pleasant Valley back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves received a blow as they fell 66-52 to the Pleasant Valley Bears. The Timberwolves were down 64-33 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jatoine Draughon, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 18 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Draughon a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Wayne King, who posted 11 points and three steals.

East Stroudsburg North's defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Pleasant Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season.

East Stroudsburg North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-36 loss against Pocono Mountain West on the 25th. Pleasant Valley has also already played their next matchup, a 56-44 defeat against Pocono Mountain East on the 24th.
