Basketball Recap: Metro Christian Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Pleasant View Christian

Metro Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 44-28 bruising from the Pleasant View Christian Warriors on Tuesday. The Eagles lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 51-11 score last time.

Pleasant View Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Annabelle Bagwell led the charge by dropping a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave Bagwell a new career-high in steals (four). Another player making a difference was Hollynn Carney, who posted 12 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds.

Metro Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Christian Community), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Pleasant View Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 48-42 victory against Lancaster Christian Academy on the 13th.
