Softball Recap: West Caldwell Tech Comes Up Short

If West Caldwell Tech was feeling good fresh off their 21-6 takedown of East Side on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Belleville Buccaneers on Wednesday, falling 14-4. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Buccaneers: they've now lost six in a row.

West Caldwell Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Belleville, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.

Coming up, West Caldwell Tech will welcome East Side at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.71 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Belleville, they will take on Bloomfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
