Basketball Recap: Nantucket Takes a Loss

Nantucket was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-32 heartbreaker at the hands of the Martha's Vineyard Regional Vineyarders. The Whalers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vineyarders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Nantucket's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Martha's Vineyard Regional, they pushed their record up to 8-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

While Nantucket had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
