Kings Christian scored the most runs they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Laton Mustangs by a score of 11-9. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Kings Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haiden Kelso, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Micheal Green was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances.

Kings Christian is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4-1. As for Laton, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Laton beat Kings Christian by a score of 21-11 on Wednesday.
