Basketball Recap: Gateway Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Floyd last Tuesday, Gateway Christian came back down to earth. The Gateway Christian Warriors came up short against the Melrose Buffaloes on Thursday, falling 46-25. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Buffaloes: they've now lost eight in a row.

Gateway Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Melrose, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-3.

Coincidentally, Gateway Christian and Melrose will both be playing Elida the next time they take the court. Melrose will head out to face Elida at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Gateway Christian will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
