Soccer Game Preview: Mater Dei vs. Santa Margarita

The Mater Dei Monarchs will challenge the Santa Margarita Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mater Dei's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Tuesday, Mater Dei came up short against Orange Lutheran and fell 3-1.

Mater Dei's goal came courtesy of Kendra Hansen, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Santa Margarita faced JSerra Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Santa Margarita and JSerra Catholic finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Eagles happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

Santa Margarita's draw makes their record 11-0-2 this season. As for Mater Dei, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4-4.
