Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

If Lakewood Presbyterian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Trinity Christian Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Cenzie Pyeatt. The Trinity Christian Academy Warriors managed a 40-35 win over the Lakewood Presbyterian Knights on Monday thanks in part to Pyeatt, who posted nine points along with six boards and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played.

Despite the loss, Lakewood Presbyterian had strong showings from Maya Kinson, who put up nine points in addition to six steals and five rebounds, and Zoeh Kinson, who had 13 points along with six boards and four blocks.

Trinity Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.6 points per game. As for Lakewood Presbyterian, they dropped their record down to 5-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Trinity Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-38 victory against Lakewood Presbyterian on the 24th. Lakewood Presbyterian has also already played their next matchup, a 41-27 win against Faith Lutheran on the 21st.
