Rancho Dominguez is 8-2 against Carson since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Lobos will venture away from home to take on the Colts at 4:30 p.m. One thing working in Rancho Dominguez's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.

On Friday, Rancho Dominguez was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 65-60 to San Pedro. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 570th, while the Pirates are ranked 198th).

Carson not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since December 3, 2025 (when they won 52-25). They put the hurt on Banning with a sharp 62-42 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colts.

Carson's win bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Rancho Dominguez, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.

Rancho Dominguez came out on top in a nail-biter against Carson when the teams last played back in January of 2025, sneaking past 57-54. Will the Lobos repeat their success, or do the Colts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
