Volleyball Recap: Floyd Central Takes a Loss

Floyd Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Letcher County Central Cougars. While the Jaguars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 25-15 in the first set.

Floyd Central started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-17, 25-22, 26-24.

Letcher County Central can attribute much of their success to Katie Combs, who had ten digs and two aces. That's the most digs Combs has posted over her last four matches.

Floyd Central now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Letcher County Central, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Floyd Central has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Perry County Central on the 11th. As for Letcher County Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Jenkins on the 10th.
