Baseball Recap: Concord Christian Comes Up Short

On Monday, the Concord Christian Lions came up short against the Christ's Church Academy Eagles and fell 6-1.

Concord Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robert Dowell, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Those stolen bases marked the first that Dowell snagged this season.

Concord Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-7-4 record this season. Christ's Church Academy now has a winning record of 8-7.

Looking ahead, Concord Christian is taking a road trip to square off against Parker at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Parker is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Christ's Church Academy, they will be playing at home against Covenant School of Jacksonville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
