Basketball Recap: McKinney Boyd Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Allen, McKinney Boyd was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 65-62 win over the Princeton Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Broncos have posted since January 26, 2024.

McKinney Boyd's win bumped their record up to 14-17. As for Princeton, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-20 record this season.

McKinney Boyd and Princeton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. McKinney Boyd will square off against Plano West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 202 places (265 vs. 63). Similarly, Princeton (ranked 329th) will meet Plano East (ranked 11th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
