Arvada West faced Fairview in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wildcats pulled ahead with a 34-33 photo finish over the Knights. The win was just business as usual for the Wildcats, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Arvada West had a senior duo take command as Noah Meurer picked up 134 receiving yards and a pair of TDs and Logan Duhachek threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns.

Arvada West didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Keegen Balistreri and Jessen Truesdel.

Despite the loss, Fairview still got an impressive performance from Ki Ellison, who threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 81 yards and one score.

Arvada West's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Fairview, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Arvada West has already played their next match, a 35-34 win against Legend on the 12th. As for Fairview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 63-0 victory against Boulder on the 12th.
