Baseball Recap: Harford Tech Has No Trouble Against C. Milton Wright

Harford Tech's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the C. Milton Wright Mustangs as they made off with a 16-0 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Cobras' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The result came thanks to CJ Scism's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 14 Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Harford Tech is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-3 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Tucker Underhill was a standout: he scored two runs while going 4-for-5. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Quinton Kron was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Harford Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as C. Milton Wright only posted an OBP of .167.

The win got Harford Tech back to even at 4-4. As for C. Milton Wright, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Harford Tech will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
