Darien won the last time they faced Norwalk and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Blue Wave put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Blue Wave as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.
Darien not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Norwalk between 15 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-16.
Audrey Brooks paced Darien's offense, picking up eight kills. Brooks got some help from Julianne Telgheder and her ten assists. Molly Maher controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.
Darien's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Norwalk, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.
As of now, neither Darien nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
