Woodrow Wilson never let their opponents score on Saturday. They blew past the Roosevelt Rough Riders 8-0. Considering the Bruins have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Jaaden Romero tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jax Core, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Nathaniel Parris, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Woodrow Wilson is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Roosevelt, they dropped their record down to 8-18 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
