Baseball Recap: Advance Comes Up Short

After flying high against Clarkton last Tuesday, Advance came back down to earth. The Hornets fell just short of the Dexter Bearcats by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bearcats from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Caleb Henson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Advance has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Dexter, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Advance will head out on the road to challenge Bloomfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dexter, they will face off against Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bearcats are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
