Football Recap: Marshall Starts Season with Victory at Home

Marshall gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Bishop Alemany Warriors 35-6.

Jaylin Macias went supernova, throwing for 220 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes, while also rushing for 59 yards and one score on only five carries. What's more, she racked up 149.3 passer rating, the most she's had since back in September of 2024. Alexa Guerrero was in the mix as well, providing Marshall with two touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for Bishop Alemany and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Marshall will square off against San Fernando at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bishop Alemany, they will take on Sherman Oaks CES at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
