Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Turner Ashby's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Turner Ashby can now relate to. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trailblazers earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Will Knicely and Caden Simmers did some serious damage despite the final result: Knicely got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run, while Simmers got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Knicely is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

With the loss, Turner Ashby broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-8. As for Spotswood, they pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

As of now, neither Turner Ashby nor the Trailblazers have any future games scheduled.
