Basketball Game Preview: Carmi-White County Bulldogs vs. Eldorado Eagles

The Carmi-White County Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Eldorado Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eldorado took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Carmi-White County, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Carmi-White County needed a bit of extra time to put away Flora. They slipped by the Wolves 34-33.

Meanwhile, Eldorado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 61-54 to Fairfield.

Carmi-White County will have to contain Jake Phelps as he made an impact in Eldorado's last game. He went 7 for 11 on his way to 21 points. The dominant performance also gave Phelps a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (80%). Another player making a difference was Drayson Grathler, who posted ten points.

Carmi-White County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points over those games. As for Eldorado, their loss dropped their record down to 5-19.

Carmi-White County took their victory against Eldorado in their previous meeting last Saturday by a conclusive 65-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carmi-White County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
