Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Orland). They put the hurt on Oroville with a sharp 13-2 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.
Roy Alexander was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Derek Clark was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Victor Guerrero, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Willows has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Orland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
