Basketball Recap: Newton Gets the Win

After losing to Oskaloosa the last time they met, Newton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Newton Cardinals rang in the new year with a 46-34 win over the Oskaloosa Indians on Thursday.

Newton's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Oskaloosa, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Newton has already played their next contest, a 45-43 win against Hoover on the 3rd. As for Oskaloosa, they will be playing at home against Pella at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
