Basketball Game Preview: Coeur du Christ Academy Saints vs. Mullan Tigers

The Coeur du Christ Academy Saints will venture away from home to challenge the Mullan Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Coeur du Christ Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.1 points per game this season.

Coeur du Christ Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 91-81 win over Kootenai on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Saints.

It was another big night for Ben Connelly, who went 19 of 35 en route to 51 points along with seven steals and six assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Coeur du Christ Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Clemens, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten assists.

Connelly wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Coeur du Christ Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Mullan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 61-31 loss at the hands of Kootenai.

Coeur du Christ Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Mullan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
