Montezuma-Cortez dropped down to 4-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They had to suffer through a 40-0 loss at the hands of the Alamosa Mean Moose. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Panthers haven't been shut out since back in September.

As for Alamosa, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Their defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a point in their last three contests.

Brennon Maez went supernova, picking up 143 receiving yards and one TD. Those 143 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Montezuma-Cortez will square off against rival Pagosa Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Alamosa is set to face off against their familiar foe Salida at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
