Baseball Recap: Santa Fe Trail Takes a Loss

Santa Fe Trail fell victim to Iola and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 9-0. The Chargers were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Santa Fe Trail saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Strother, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Atticus Guenther also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Santa Fe Trail's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Iola, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Mustangs beat Santa Fe Trail by a score of 16-6 later that day.
