East Carter owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They blew past the Raceland Rams 7-0. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Not much got past Stephany Tussey, who gave up just five hits to keep Raceland off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Trina Porter, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynlee Walker, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

East Carter is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Raceland, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 20-7 record.

East Carter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 defeat against Rowan County on the 14th. As for Raceland, they will face off against Dawson-Bryant at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
