South Anchorage has gone 7-0-2 against Wasilla recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wolverines will challenge the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with South Anchorage sitting on 14 straight victories and Wasilla on three.

South Anchorage is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Chugiak a 4-0 shutout. Considering South Anchorage have won 11 games by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Wasilla faced Lathrop in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Malemutes 2-1.

Danielle Steiner and Lainey Kroon scored both of Wasilla's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

South Anchorage's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-0-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those eight contests. As for Wasilla, their win bumped their record up to 17-3-2.

South Anchorage took their victory against Wasilla when the teams last played back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
