Volleyball Recap: Charlestown Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Charlestown and Jeffersonville, and Jeffersonville kept the tradition alive. The Pirates came up short against the Red Devils on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Pirates have suffered against the Red Devils since August 22, 2019.

While Charlestown ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 25-17.

Charlestown now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Jeffersonville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Charlestown has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against New Washington on the 26th. As for Jeffersonville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Rock Creek Academy on the 28th.
