Football Recap: West Forsyth Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Andrew Davis and Max Walraven + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Forsyth can now relate to. They fell 25-15 to the North Gwinnett Bulldogs on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Bulldogs are ranked ninth).

West Forsyth's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Max Walraven, who rushed for 95 yards on only ten carries, and Andrew Davis, who gained 79 total yards and two touchdowns. Davis was even better on defense, picking up a sack and making 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Braylon Jackson went supernova For North Gwinnett., picking up 164 receiving yards and one score. Those 164 receiving yards gave Jackson a new career-high. Wilson Taylor Jr got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

West Forsyth's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for North Gwinnett, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

West Forsyth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Gwinnett, they will venture away from home to face off against Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points in their last nine matchups.
